July 9, 2010

Just at 04:30 hours units were alerted for the house fire at 422 Aquia Creek Road with the homeowner reporting a fire on the deck. Chief 2 was the first to arrive with a two story wood frame and fire showing side Charlie with extension into all floors, taking "Aquia Creek Road Command". Engine 2 laid a line at the end of the driveway and advanced an attack line through side Alpha. Engine 9 arrived picking up the split and set up the draft site located at the at the Aquia Bay Marina. Engine 4 and Engine 1 arrived at the same time with Engine 4 taking RIT responsibilities and Engine 1 advancing a line to side Charlie. After extinguishing the fire on side Charlie, Engine 1 was reassigned to Division 2 to assist Quint 12 with knocking down the last bit of fire. Once that task was completed units began overhaul operations. Engine 1 operated on scene for about three hours.
