October 24, 2011

At 23:30 hours Engine 1 (Rice) was alerted for an auto-accident in the area of Kings Highway and Ferry Road. Minutes later, the Engine went on the scene of a two vehicle accident with one vehicle in the median and the other vehicle in the travel lanes. After investigating, Engine 1 found two occupants trapped inside one of the vehicles and upgraded the assignment bringing Rescue 1 (Turnbull) and Chief 1. Engine 1 established the "Kings Highway Command", deployed the protection line and began to stabilize the vehicle. The Rescue and Chief quickly arrived, with Chief 1 taking the "Rescue Group Supervisor" position while Rescue 1 finished the stabilization and completed a roof removal. Falmouth units operated on the scene for approximately one hour before returning to service.
