By Falmouth Volunteers
April 11, 2012

Around 18:16 hours Rescue 1 was alerted for a technical rescue at 556 Garrisonville Road for a car into a building. Rescue Engine 14 was first to arrive to find one vehicle into a building with four occupants not injured but trapped inside the structure. The Operations Deputy then arrived and established the "Garrisonville Road Command". Truck 2 then assisted with securing hazards and the power to the building. Rescue 1 arrived on scene and due to the exit on side Alpha being blocked the crew removed a section of wall inside the exposure building to safely remove the four occupants. Rescue 1 operated on scene for approximately 20 minutes before returning to service.
