| Shortly after lunch Stafford E.C.C. received a call for a subject that fell from a roof on 316 Ingleside Drive in Falmouth. Engine, Rescue, Medic, and the Assistant Chief from Falmouth responded with 10 personnel. Engine 1 arrived first to find a female that had fallen from one roof to a lower roof. The patient sustained a compound fracture of the lower leg. Engine 1 established the "Ingleside Command" and gave instructions to the units to set up a lowering system to remove the patient. A ground ladder was used to gain access to the patient. Quint 12 was used for a high point while the crew from Rescue 1 constructed the lowering system. The rescue officer and AC-1 took the roof operation with Medic 11 handling patient care. The patient was secured in the stokes basket and safely removed from the roof. Medic 11 transported the patient to Mary Washington Hospital. Units cleared in just under one hour. |
