At 21:38 units were alerted for an auto-accident reported to be head-on and overturned with partial ejection in the area of Warrenton Road and Hartwood Road. Engine 6 was the first to arrive taking "Warrenton Road Command' with two vehicles, one on its side with a subject not breathing. Battalion Chief 1 (Jett) arrived shortly after, and command was transferred. Rescue 1's arrived an the officer was given the "extrication group supervisor" role. Rescue 1 quickly went to work, removing one door from the second vehicle involved with Medic 6 and Qunit 12 packaging the patient for transport. Rescue 1 then repositioned to set up for extrication of the deceased victim in the overturned vehicle. Units awaited for the Medical Examiner and Virginia State Police for the approval to begin extrication. Once permission was obtained Rescue 1 performed a roof removal to complete the extrication. Rescue 1 operated on the scene for almost two hours.

The Officers and Members of Falmouth V.F.D. would like to extend our condolences to the family of the victim. He was a well known, longtime resident of Stafford County and will be greatly missed.
