While Engine and Rescue 1 were working the second first due fire of the day on Shaw Court, communications dispatched number three in Brooke at 240 Marlborourgh Point Road. Engine 1 Bravo (Thayer, Jr.) responded with three volunteers. Medic 5 arrived first to find a large woodframe dwelling heavily involved. Once on scene Engine 1 Bravo was the water supply pumper for the first arriving and the crew went with Engine 9 to protect the garage. After that assignment was completed the crew advanced an attackline to side Charlie to extinguish the bulk of the fire. Engine 1 Bravo operated on scene for about five hours before returning to service.
