| At 01:00 hours Engine and Assistant Chief 1 were alerted for a large vehicle fire at 20 Pendleton Road. While enroute the Stafford E.C.C was receiving multiple reports of a school bus on fire with possible explosions next to Ferry Farm Elementary School. Engine 1 arrived within minutes and laid a supply line at Pendleton Road and Jefferson Street. The engine then reported one school bus well off and advanced a hand line to begin extinguishment. Assistant Chief 1 arrived and established the "Pendleton Command". Once the fire was knocked down the assignment was quickly scaled back. Company 1 units operated on scene for approximately two hours providing lighting for the investigation before returning to service. |
