At 17:25 hours the Box Alarm was transmitted for 6 Hicks Ct bringing Engine and Chief 1 with 5 Volunteers. As units were responding, Communications informed units that the homeowner stated his basement was on fire. Engine 1 arrived on the scene to find a single family dwelling with nothing showing from the Alpha, Bravo, and Delta sides. Upon entry by Engine 1's Lineman and Backup it was confirmed there was fire in the basement and the hose line was re positioned to the "Walk-out Entrance" on the Delta side of the structure. Chief 1 arrived on the scene and established the "Hicks Court Command" assigning Engine 1's Officer as the Attack Group Supervisor. Engine 1's crew got a quick knock on the fire and the assignment was scaled back to Engine 1, Engine 12, and Tower Ladder 4. Units operated for approximately 45 minutes before returning to service.
