Rescue 1 Runs Fatal Pin Job

Shortly after Engine 1 returned to service from an overturned accident in the first due the Rescue Company was then alerted for an auto accident with reported entrapment in the area of Route 1 and Enon Road. BC1 quickly arrived to find a two vehicle T-bone collision with one pinned with fatal injuries. Rescue engine 2 and Tower 4 stabilized the vehicle and began extrication efforts. Seconds later Rescue 1 arrived and completed the extrication by removing the driver’s side of the vehicle and the roof. Once that task was completed rescue 1 then utilized an amkus spreader to push the passenger side door away from the patient as well as pushed the passenger side seat away which pinned the occupant which completed the extrication. Medic 2 and Medic 11 provided patient care with Quint 12 and transported to the hospital.
