As the evening hours were approaching the Falmouth Volunteers were alerted for an auto accident reported overturned with entrapment. The initial dispatch location was possibly in the area of the 136 southbound mile marker on interstate I-95. Rescue Squad 1 was first to arrive at the 136 northbound mile marker to find a single vehicle on its side with one trapped. Rescue 1 then went to work stabilizing the vehicle by placing a come-a-along to the "dirty" side of the vehicle to prevent the vehicle from continuing onto its roof. BC1 arrived on scene and established the "Interstate I-95 command". Rescue 1 then placed struts to the A and C post. Engine 2 placed cribbing to fill void spaces on the bottom side. Once this was complete Rescue 1 completed a roof removal to gain complete access to the patient. Falmouth Volunteers operated on scene for approximately 30 minutes before returning to service.
