While the Falmouth Volunteers were conducting a basic rescue company operations drill the alarm was transmitted for an accident with people trapped in the area of Jefferson Davis Highway and Nats Court. Engine 2 was first to arrive to find a single vehicle down an embankment on its roof with two trapped. Engine 2 then requested for Truck 2 to be placed on the run for a stokes operation and began stabilizing the vehicle. The County Assistant Chief arrived on scene and established the "Jefferson Davis" Command. Engine 2 also deployed a protection hoseline while Truck two began setting up for a stokes operation. Engine 4 arrived next and assisted with patient care. Rescue 1 arrived as Engine 2 completed the final stabilization of the vehicle. Rescue 1 then went to work quickly completing a side removal by removing two driver side doors and the "B" Post which completed the extrication. The patients were then transported to hospital with minor injuries. The Falmouth Volunteers operated on scene for approximately 20 minutes before returning to service.
