| The Falmouth Volunteer Fire Department is mourning the loss of life member Charles B. "Charlie" Brown. At 13:03 hours, Wagon 1 and Medic 11 were summoned to Charlie's home for a medical emergency. Charlie passed away that same day.
Charlie retired two years ago from Days Inn Motel. Since then, he had run the bingo kitchen at Falmouth Fire Department on Friday and Saturday nights. He was also lifetime member of Mountain View and Hartwood Volunteer Fire Departments.
Charlie Brown was laid to rest on March 22, with Engine, Ambulance, Chief 1, and Chief 1-3 in attendance. He was also honored by firefighters from Mountainview, Hartwood, Stafford, and Quantico Fire Departments.
