Just after noon, Stafford E.C.C. started receiving calls of an auto accident overturned on Ferry Road at Heritage Road bringing Wagon 1, Rescue 1, Medic 11, Chief 1 and Chief 1-2 with 13 men. Chief 7 (Roberson) arrived on scene first and confirmed one car on its roof with someone still in side. Chief 7 established the "Ferry Road Command" and called for a medivac. Company 1 units arrived shortly after and Chief 1 and was assigned the "Extrication Group Leader". The Rescue crew quickly put the Paratech Rescue Struts and the Amkus Rescue Tools to use and had the patient extricated within 5 minutes of arrival. Wagon 1 had a charged hose line in place for fire protection and Wagon 2 took the LZ responsibilities. Medic 11 did the packaging and then turned the patient over to AirCare 2. Units returned to service in about 20 minutes.
