At 18:01 Hours units were alerted to 1183 Truslow Road for a head-on crash. Battalion-1 and Medic 6-1 arrived and reported a two vehicle crash with single occupants trapped in both vehicles. BC-1 (Ennis) established the Truslow Road Command, E-12 arrived and begun stabilization and extrication of one patient and on arrival of E-6 they begun stabilization and extrication effort of the patient in the second vehicle.
Chief-1 and Rescue 1 arrived next and finalized efforts to remove the patient from the vehicle E-6 was extricating. The patient was identified to be trapped in the vehicle and pinned by the dash. RS-1 removed the driver's door, spread the dash off the victim, and crews removed the patient.
W6 handled the helispot to safely land all air transport resources.
Both patients were air transported by Lifeevac and Aircare to local hospitals.
