| At 16:30 Hours, while crews were working on preparing for the Department's Open House; Captain Pierson, Technician D. Newton, FF/EMT Carter, & FF Wade completed a through check of Engine-1 and headed to Westmoreland County.
The Engine crew arrived around 5:30 p.m. at the Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department to relieve their members, so they could attend a viewing for their Fire Chief Ira Banks who passed after a battle with cancer. The fill-in did not consist of any significant incidents but Falmouth Volunteers were glad to lend a hand to our distant brothers and sisters in their time of need.
Please keep the family, friends, and community members of the Oak Grove VFD in your thoughts during the mourning of Chief Banks. |
