By Falmouth Volunteers
December 6, 2008

Shortly before 07:00 hours Falmouth units were dispatched to an alarm bell sounding at Falmouth Elementary School. Engine 1 responded with 5 personnel. While enroute Stafford E.C.C. upgraded the incident to a Fire Endangering a Residence located a 6 Sapphire Street across from the school. The engine arrived to find a fully involved sports car dangerously close to the home. The driver was pulled from the wreckage prior to units arrival and was laying on the side of the roadway with serious injuries. The crew deployed an 1 3/4 attack line to begin extinguishment while Engine 2 checked the exposure. Due to a quick response and knockdown the home suffered only minor damage. BC-1(Lace) held the "Sapphire Command" and units were released in under an hour.

Units: E-1, E-2, T-2, BC-1
