By Falmouth Volunteers
February 16, 2009

At 19:16 hours White Oak Engine and Tanker 7 were requested to assist King George County for a house fire located at 5624 Cove Harbour Drive. King George Engine 31 (Fairview Beach) arrived on scene to find a very large two story home well involved. At this point, King George Lieutenant 3 (Command) requested additional help bringing Engine and Assistant Chief 1 from Falmouth. Falmouth units arrived and assisted with the defensive attack. Assistant Chief 1 established a unified command to aid in the suppression efforts. Chief 7 was given the water supply duties and the officer from Engine 1 took over the Charlie division. Crews were hampered by wind and water supply issues. Charles County, Maryland Fireboat 4, with their 3000 gallon per minute fire-pump, was requested to assist in establishing an adequate water supply. Once on scene Stafford Fire and Rescue units were returned to service.

Units: E-7B, E-1, K-7, K-5, K-6, CH-7, AC-1
