Around 09:00 hours the alarm was transmitted for a Residential Box in the area of Cool Springs Road and Kings Highway. The Stafford Emergency Communication Center was receiving calls from passerbys of fire coming from a residence in this area. Engine 1 was first to arrive to find a two story multi-family residence on Jett Drive with a fire on the front porch. Engine 1 quickly advanced a handline to the front of the residence and extinguished. Chief-1 (Good) arrived an established the command while Rescue 1 and Fredericksburg Tower 1 opened up the burned area and checked for extensions. Command quickly scaled the incident and held with Company 1 units and Fire Marshal-1 (Milliken). The fire was contained to the area of origin and ruled accidental in nature. Falmouth units cleared the scene just over thirty minutes.
