October 5, 2010

At 11:32 hours the Rescue Company was alerted for a auto accident overturned with entrapment in the area of the Rappahannock River Bridge Southbound. Quint 12 arrived first to find one vehicle down a embankment below the bridge with no entrapment. Rescue 1 then arrived and utilizing Quint 12 as a high point, set up rope equipment for a stokes operation. The two victims were then raised to the top of the bridge in the stokes basket. They were then transported to Mary Washington Hospital with non-life threating injuries.
