On this day, in the year 1999 at 1813 hours, six Worcester, Massachusetts firemen responded on box alarm 1438 for a cold storage warehouse on fire and never returned. We ask that you keep the family and friends of Lieutenant Timothy Jackson (Ladder 2), Lieutenant Thomas Spencer (Ladder 2), Fireman Paul Brotherton (Rescue 1), Fireman Jeremiah Lucey (Rescue 1), Fireman James Lyons (Engine 3) and Fireman Joseph McGuirk (Engine 3) in your thoughts and prayers as this year marks the 11th anniversary of their sacrifice to the citizens of Worcester and the fire service as a whole. You will never be forgotten brothers.
