February 16, 2011

Just before midnight the Stafford E.C.C alerted Company 1 units for a residential fire at 243 Morton Road bringing the Engine, Rescue and Assistant Chief on the run. Assistant Chief 1 (Shackleford) arrived first to find a two story single family dwelling with smoke showing from the Alpha side. Engine 1 established a water supply and advanced a line to the Alpha side. Rescue 1 evacuated the occupants from the structure and checked for further extension. Engine 2 arrived and staged at command while Truck 2 assisted Quint 12's crew with ventilation and checking the attic. The fire on the porch was contained to the exterior of the structure and the incident was quickly scaled back to Company 1 units.

Units: E-1, E-2, Q-12, R-1, AC-1, T-2, M-11, BC-1
